September 14, 2018 Tuesday, Sept 25: Public Safety & Parks Town Hall
Dear Neighbors, It’s been a busy month for the whole community as Anchorage schools begin a new year and UAA classes began. Luckily, the continued stretch of summer weather has made it a great time to talk to friends and neighbors—and for road construction to wind down after a rainy August. See Tuck’s Tips below for road construction updates! Mark Your Calendars! Community Town Hall on Parks and Public Safety On Tuesday, September 25 at 5:30pm at the Taku Elementary School Multipurpose Room, please join me, the Anchorage Parks Foundation, and local law enforcement for a community dialogue. We will discuss concerns about crime in the area, public safety resources, how to report criminal activity, park safety, and more. Mark your calendars and bring your questions and ideas! All are welcome. My constituents will also soon receive a newsletter with an update on criminal justice reform. Rep. Tuck at SB 152 Signing Ceremony this week at the Anchorage Fire Department. Bills Signed into Law This summer, eight bills I introduced were signed into law, some having been amended into other bills. This is a great honor and I am humbled by the bipartisan support from my colleagues, the great work from my staff, and teamwork from all stakeholders to pass these bills to provide more opportunities for Alaskans.
