Greetings on this the 12th day of the first special session of the 30th legislature. I and Iām sure many of you are honoring this Memorial Day with family and friends as we remember those who sacrificed their lives in service of our country.
On Monday, we celebrate Memorial Day and pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.
In the last year, we have had many new people participate in the public process and I want to thank you for your time and support as we work together during these tough times. This gives me hope for our future. These are challenging times and I am grateful to see new faces get involved. Thank you for your participation.
Happy Thanksgiving! As we congregate with friends, family, and good food, we remember why we celebrate this historic holiday: to gather in unity and to humbly reflect upon all we have to be thankful for. This Thanksgiving, may we also remember to observe the āgivingā portion of the holiday by lending a hand to those in need.

Today is Veteranās Day, which began as Armistice Day at the end of the First World War. At āthe 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month,ā we pause to celebrate and honor our veterans who have dedicated their lives to protecting and serving our country. Thank you for the sacrifices you made and your commitment to upholding our values of freedom and democracy.
On Labor Day, we pay tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. This weekend, we remember the history of the labor movement and celebrate the strength and diversity of our nationās workers.
