Happy Holidays! Before the New Year I want to share with you my vision for this upcoming legislative session. The Governor released his FY 2019 budget proposal on Friday, December 15. We are beginning to analyze it to see how it fits with our goals, especially education funding.

Anchorage – Speaker of the House Bryce Edgmon (D-Dillingham) released the following statement upon learning that Alaska Governor Bill Walker has signed Senate Bill 54 into law.
I wanted to provide you with a small update from my perspective on the fourth special session. The Senate returned to Juneau last Friday, approved SB 54, and adjourned the fourth special session without addressing Governor Walker’s revenue bill.
I’m here in Juneau, with almost no senators. That’s been the case for most of Special Session, as most Republican Senate majority members skipped work the first ten days of this 30-day Special Session and then left for good this past Saturday.
Juneau – Speaker of the House Bryce Edgmon (D-Dillingham) issued the following statement in response to tonight’s announcement that the State of Alaska has entered into a joint development agreement for the long-awaited Alaska LNG Project. The agreement was signed by representatives from the State of Alaska, the Alaska Gaseline Development Corporation (AGDC), the Bank of China, the China Investment Corporation, and the oil and gas company Sinopec.
