Family to receive flag flown at half-staff in honor of former Speaker Tim Bradner
JUNEAU – House Speaker Louise Stutes and Rules Chair Bryce Edgmon acted today to provide the family of former Speaker Mike Bradner with the flag that flew at half-staff over the Alaska State Capitol in honor of his many years of service as an elected official and journalist.
Bradner represented Fairbanks in the House of Representatives for a decade (1966-76) and served as speaker during his final term in office, and he subsequently operated the Legislative Digest and Alaska Economic Report for many years. Gov. Mike Dunleavy lowered flags to half-staff today following Bradner’s death on Sunday in Anchorage.
