JUNEAU – The telehealth access Alaskans relied on during the pandemic has been made permanent after Rep. Ivy Spohnholz's House Bill 265 was signed into law by the governor today.
JUNEAU – Members of the Alaska House Coalition were grieved to learn this morning that former State Senator Dennis Egan passed away at the age of 75. Egan was a business leader and well respected member in the Juneau community before he was elected Mayor in 1995.
ANCHORAGE – Today, Representative Chris Tuck withdrew from the Alaska State House election for District 13. As a result, Rep. Tuck will not run for election to the Alaska State Legislature in 2022. Rep. Tuck has served seven terms in the Alaska House of Representatives.

On June 29, Governor Dunleavy put his signature on a bill I sponsored to transfer the Alaska Court Visitor Program from the Office of Public Advocacy to the Alaska Court System.
Last week, the Alaska Legislature had a final day that will go down in legislative history. Both the House and Senate finished up work right around midnight and, despite predictions to the contrary, a lot was accomplished this session.
On May 18th, the legislature finished its work on schedule. I'm pleased to report that we were able to deliver an operating and capital budget that provide significant support for House District 37 and the rest of the state.
