A Day to Remember our Heroes

Today we remember members of our armed services and public safety officers who put their lives on the line to serve and protect the public. Join Americans across the country in a moment of silence to reflect and remember 9/11.

Also on this day, HB 235, establishing the “North Star Medal” for exceptional public safety or search and rescue officers who are injured in the line of duty, and SB 152, establishing Patriot Day and PTSI Awareness Day will become state law. I am proud to have co-sponsored and supported both bills in this previous legislative session. The bills will be signed into law at 4:00pm at Station #1, 100 E 4th Avenue if you would like to attend the signing ceremony and hear remarks from Governor Walker.
