House Finance Budget Subcommittees are meeting and working on the budget. In the coming weeks, we will keep you updated on how the department budgets are evolving and how the FY23 budget proposed budget compares to what the governor proposed at the end of last year.
On Tuesday, Governor Dunleavy gave his fourth State of the State address. The governor focused on three main topics: increased Permanent Fund dividends, the continued COVID pandemic response, and public safety across Alaska.
This week, legislators returned to Juneau for the regular session. We face many challenges as a state, and moving forward I will continue working with my colleagues in the House and Senate to advocate for fact-based, common-sense solutions to Alaska’s challenges
