JUNEAU — Today, Governor Mike Dunleavy released his budget proposal for the upcoming fiscal year, setting off months of deliberation by the Legislature and the administration as policymakers work toward a final spending plan.
ANCHORAGE - This morning, a group of legislators sent a letter to the Dunleavy Administration and Department of Health and Social Services requesting an update on federal funding issued during the pandemic whose distribution is being held up by the State.
ANCHORAGE – The House Labor and Commerce Committee heard testimony on Wednesday afternoon from childcare providers who urged the rapid release of federal American Rescue Plan Act funding that is currently sitting unused.
ANCHORAGE – Today, the House Ways and Means Committee heard testimony from the Legislative Finance Division on Alaska’s financial situation, as well as proposals from lawmakers to close the budget deficit.
