Alaska House Minority Coalition Leader Calls on House Majority to Bring HB193 to Floor

JUNEAU – With the recent vote to sustain Governor Dunleavy’s veto on education and rural broadband funding, the House Minority Leader calls on the House Majority to advance House Bill 193 to the floor.

“While many in the House Majority are busy grasping for political cover after striking down Senate Bill 140, Alaska’s rural schools remain in limbo at risk of losing out on critical broadband upgrades that would help lessen the disparities with urban schools of the state by missing a critical deadline,” said House Minority Leader Calvin Schrage (NA-Anchorage). “House Bill 193 addresses this urgent issue and should be advanced to the floor immediately.”
