JUNEAU – Legislation by Representative Andi Story extending the Alaska Board of Pharmacy passed the House today, by a vote of 36-2.
House Bill 306 extends the Board of Pharmacy until 2028. This allows the Board to continue its important role in protecting the health and safety of Alaskans by adopting regulations, licensing pharmacists and pharmacies, and ensuring compliance with state law.
“I am proud to sponsor House Bill 306, a bill extending the Board of Pharmacy. We all know the importance of our local pharmacists who help us use medications in the right way and inform us about any side effects,” said Rep. Andi Story (D-Juneau). “The Board of Pharmacy plays a critical role in public health and safety. I was glad to see the strong bipartisan support for HB 306 on the House Floor today.”
Representative Story thanks pharmacists and all health care workers for their incredible efforts during this difficult pandemic.
