Greetings on this 53rd day of the 32nd Legislative Session. The House was unable to organize for an extended period of time this year, much like during the 2019 session. After much work, both the House and the Senate are going forward with precarious governing coalitions. We are now doing our best to work together and put Alaska’s interests first.
JUNEAU – The Department of Administration is currently advancing a plan to privatize Division of Motor Vehicles offices in Eagle River, Homer, Tok, Valdez, Delta Junction, and Haines, which would result in steep price hikes on Alaskans.
This week, Alaska became the first state in the nation to offer any adult a COVID-19 vaccination. Anyone over the age of 16 can get the Pfizer vaccine and anyone over the age of 18 can get the Moderna vaccine or the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
