This afternoon, Senator Wielechowski and I sent a letter to the Governor expressing our concerns with Novel Coronavirus and asking his administration to waive health insurance fees for Alaskans who seek to be tested for the virus. Alaskans should know they can be tested and treated for this virus without risking potentially catastrophic medical bills, and we should follow the lead of state’s like New York, ensuring that even the uninsured are able to get tested.

The 2020 legislative session has passed the 30 day mark with much of the work so far focused on crafting a responsible budget for the State of Alaska. The goal of the Alaska House Majority is to finish up work on the budget sometime in the first couple of weeks of March and send the budget to the Senate for

Rep. Adam Wool’s E-News Update: House Finance Moves Operating Budget

March has arrived, and we are now nearing the halfway mark of the legislative session. The House Finance committee finished the budget subcommittee process and spent last week working on amendments in the full House Finance committee. Now, the budget is on the House Floor for consideration this week. Once the bill passes through the House, it will make its way through the Senate.
