The First of Two Anchorage Caucus Meetings is Saturday at the ASD Education Center
Juneau – Members of the Alaska State Legislature who represent the Anchorage area are excited to announce the 2019 Anchorage Caucus. Unlike years past, the Anchorage Caucus will be split between two weekends. The first Anchorage Caucus event will be Saturday, February 23, at the Anchorage School District Education Center. The second Anchorage Caucus event will be held Saturday, March 2nd at the East Anchorage High School.
“I look forward to hearing from my neighbors about important issues facing the state,” said Anchorage Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Zack Fields (D-Anchorage).
“We can’t do our best job in Juneau if we don’t connect with our neighbors in Anchorage. I’m pleased that we’re able to host the Anchorage Caucus event over two weekends instead of one so that we have more of an opportunity to listen to the people of Alaska. If you want to chat with us about the issues facing our state, please join us at either Anchorage Caucus event,” said Anchorage Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Sara Rasmussen (R-Anchorage).
Saturday’s Anchorage Caucus meeting will include the opportunity to speak with multiple lawmakers during individual breakout sessions. The public and media are welcome to attend.
