September 12, 2017
Fairbanks – Representative Scott Kawasaki (D-Fairbanks) invites Fairbanks community members and neighbors to a public town hall on Wednesday, September 20, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM in the Auditorium of the Noel Wien Public Library. Among many issues to be discussed include details on the 2017 legislative session, the potential October Special Session, the state’s budget deficit, public safety concerns, construction updates, public education and issues raised by President Donald Trump.
“The key to being an effective lawmaker is to maintain an ongoing dialogue with constituents about their concerns, questions and ideas,” said Rep. Kawasaki. “Especially during this ongoing and yet unresolved transformation of Alaska’s state finances, it’s more important than ever for me to hear from neighbors and fellow Fairbanksans about how issues and current events impact their ability to work, live and raise a family.”
Representative Kawasaki invites constituents to bring their questions and voice concerns and ideas. This event is free and open to the public. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
