Participants will include Speaker of the House Rep. Bryce Edgmon (D-Dillingham), Finance Committee Co-Chair Rep. Paul Seaton (R-Homer), Finance Committee member Rep. Scott Kawasaki (D-Fairbanks), and Education Committee Chair Rep. Harriet Drummond (D-Anchorage).

Rep. Westlake’s March 3rd Newsletter: Resolution to Open ANWR Passes Legislature

I am pleased to announce that my first piece of legislation, House Joint Resolution 5, has passed the legislature. Both bodies worked efficiently and swiftly to pass this important piece of legislation urging the US Congress to open the coastal plain of ANWR to exploration and development. I had the pleasure of presenting HJR 5 directly to Senator Sullivan himself to take back to his colleagues in D.C.
