On Monday, students in the Anchorage School District are headed back to school! With the 2016-2017 school year approaching, it is important to honor our teachers and thank them for their hard work.
With special sessions concluded, I have been busy visiting communities, settling in to new temporary office space, and catching up with constituents. I have also hired Crystal Koeneman, who will be working in my Juneau office this interim with Bianca. Please say hello to her when you call my office.
Anchorage – Representatives Les Gara (D-Anchorage) and Harriet Drummond (D-Anchorage) encourage the public to comment on the need to stop wasteful spending on the proposed Knik Arm Crossing project. The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities is accepting public comments until Friday, August 19th on whether the roughly $2 billion bridge project should be removed from the current state transportation priority list.
