Also in this edition is information about an exciting opportunity to be a part of drafting the Davis Park Master Plan, how you can honor some of the incredible volunteers in our neighborhoods, and news regarding our Airport Heights neighbor Scotty Gomez and other Alaskan athletes for taking a collective stand against domestic violence.

In this edition of my e-news I want to bring your attention to a piece of legislation that I introduced today. As many of you undoubtedly know I love to view Alaska in all of its natural glory. I have traveled all over the state and I can say that no matter where you go you will find something that will make you stop and reflect. It is because of this love for Alaska that I introduced House Joint Resolution 12 to help heal the old wounds of the 1989 Exxon disaster and finally clean up our coastlines.

The legislative session is in full swing. Yesterday, Governor Walker released his full budget for fiscal year 2016. The Operating Budget starts in the House, so those of us on the House Finance Committee will be diving in right away.
