Tomorrow your voice is needed as we consider important reforms to our oil and gas system. The House Resources Committee will be taking public testimony onHB 111, tomorrow March 1, 2017 at 6pm. This is your opportunity weigh in on oil and gas reform measures and advocate for Alaska’s fair share of oil revenue. Please testify from the Anchorage Legislative Information Office at 1500 West Benson Boulevard.
If you are unable to go to your Legislative Information Office, please call the Juneau Legislative Information office at 907-465-4648 for instructions on how to testify telephonically. You can also email comments to the Resources Committee at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This Friday, the House Finance Committee will be taking Anchorage area public testimony on HB 57 and HB 59 - the Operating Budget and the Mental Health Budget.
The Operating Budget supports the day to day functions of the state, from schools to road maintenance to public safety. The Mental Health Budget provides mental health services and infrastructure throughout Alaska.
Further cuts to the budget are unavoidable, so it is essential that Legislators hear from the public on what services are most essential.
