Rep. Chris Tuck's Legislative Update and
Anchorage Legislative Caucus this Saturday
Also: Memorial Services for Rep. Max Gruenberg

Dear Neighbors,

This Saturday, February 27, I will be in Anchorage for a public meeting of the Anchorage Legislative Caucus, and later that day for my regular update on the Legislature to my friends and neighbors in House District 23.  This area includes South Midtown Anchorage and the Dimond Business District.

Representative Chris Tuck, Leader of the Alaska Independent Democratic Coalition, and Senator Berta Gardner, leader of the Senate Minority Caucus recently proposed creating a new “Caucus of the whole” in the Legislature to put politics aside and join forces in a unified effort to solve the fiscal crisis.

Here are the details:

Saturday, February 27
11:00 am to 2:00 pm
Assembly Chambers at the Loussac Library

Saturday, February 27
3:00 to 4:30 pm
Elim Café – 561 W. Dimond Boulevard
(at the NE corner of Dimond and Arctic Boulevard)

The Anchorage Legislative Caucus is a good opportunity to share your thoughts and concerns with all Anchorage legislators and speak out on the budget, the Legislative Office Building, or other issues that are important to Alaskans.

Above: please watch your mailbox for the following invite to two important public meetings this Saturday.

Every session I also return to Anchorage to give a detailed update on the Legislature to my friends and neighbors back home and hear how I can best serve you.  I hope you will be able to join me for snacks, refreshments, and a good discussion about how to move Alaska forward during our troubling fiscal times.  I hope to see you there!
