•         Public Safety meeting recap

Late last month, I joined other eastside policy makers in holding a public safety town hall at Begich Middle School. It was a productive meeting with many community members in attendance.  There were resources available to assist folks in taking proactive measures to make our community safer.  We had representatives of community councils, community patrolsNeighborhood Watch programsGreen Dot training information (it’s a bystander intervention tool), and presentations from the Anchorage Police Department and Mayor Ethan Berkowitz.
