The BUDGET is so important that the House has SUSPENDED any further committee hearings for issues not focused on budget or revenue, until the operating budget passes the House.

Special Session: Governor Walker ordered the State Legislature into its third Special Session beginning October 24th at 10 a.m. in Juneau. This Special Session will involve two topics: one being the discussion of a Gas Reserves Tax, which would tax oil companies for the gas still in the ground, and the second being the potential termination of the TransCanada agreement, including the state’s option to buy TransCanada’s share.

Tonight, October 12th, from 6-7pm at the Muldoon Boys & Girls Club (1251 Muldoon Road) there will be a traffic calming/speed hump meeting to prioritize the list of eligible streets that will be submitted to the Municipality of Anchorage. Our district has been working hard for these speed humps and tonight is the last chance to make a difference in this process!
