Dear Neighbors,

The House Finance Committee is continuing laser-focus on the budget in order to adjourn on time. In the days ahead, the budget will be amended in Finance Committee, then go to the House for a vote on the Floor before being referred to the Senate where the process will be repeated. But first and foremost, the public will have the opportunity to weigh in on our budget.


Your Chance to Address Priorities

I want to remind you about your opportunity for public testimony. Your voice matters! What do you think about the level of state services? Are there key budget priorities to enhance, cut or eliminate?


The House Finance Committee will hear testimony from across Alaska. Below are the dates, times and locations and how to participate at your local Legislative Information Office. You can also submit your written testimony to now through Saturday, March 3, to be included in the public record.


Thursday, March 1 (remember to sign in or call 30 minutes in advance!)

  • 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Homer, Kenai, Ketchikan, Kodiak, Mat-Su & Seward
  • 3:15 - 4:45 p.m. Utqiagvik, Dillingham & Fairbanks
