It is time to get out and vote! The Alaska State Council on the Arts have opened public voting for Alaska’s Artistic License Plate. The options are the top five out of hundreds of submissions and are all designed by fellow Alaskans. All ages can vote but you must be a resident of Alaska. Municipal and borough elections will be on Tuesday, October 3rd. Voting is an important part of democracy and a representative government. Please do your best to get out to the polls and vote.Early voting is available from 8 am to 5 pm until October 2nd at the following locations:

Senior Benefits Program:
The Alaska Senior Benefits Program is currently scheduled to expire in June 2018. This is a vital program to many Alaskans and we would like to hear from you. We will be holding a statewide listening session on Thursday, September 28 to gather public input on HB 236: EXTEND SENIOR BENEFITS PAYMENT PROGRAM, which will extend the program until 2022.
The Fairbanks LIO (1292 Sadler Way Fairbanks, AK 99701) will be livestreaming the listening session and you will be able to participate in the conversation from here.
