•  Anchorage Remembers: Memorial Day Ceremony

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

On Monday, we pause from our busy summer schedules to honor the men and women of our armed forces who bravely served our country and sacrificed their lives to uphold our nation’s values and defend our freedom. As we observe this day, we remember our fallen service members and pay tribute to all they have given.

Anchorage Remembers: Memorial Day Ceremony

The Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) invites the public to a one-hour Memorial Day ceremony to honor and remember the men and women who sacrificed their lives in devotion to liberty, freedom, and democracy.

The ceremony includes patriotic music, spiritual words, and laying of the wreaths to honor the fallen. Confirmed keynote speakers include Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz and Lt. Gen. Ken Wilsbach, commander of the Alaskan Command and 11th Air Force and the senior military officer in Alaska.

For more information, check out the Facebook event here, or contact MOA Military & Veterans Affairs Commission Chair Pam Beale, 907-720-3923, or pbeale@gci.net.

When: Monday, May 28th from 9:30AM to 10:30AM
Where: Delaney Park Strip Memorial – West 9th Avenue

As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
