The public meeting will include Senator Dennis Egan (D-Juneau), Representative Sam Kito III (D-Juneau), and Representative Justin Parish (D-Juneau).

Anchorage – Representative Les Gara (D-Anchorage), an advocate for reforms to Alaska’s overburdened foster care system, will speak tomorrow at Alaska’s annual conference for volunteers who work with foster youth. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are volunteers from across the state who represent children in foster care cases with a goal of helping make sure they have the best chance to succeed in life.

NEWS: Committee Meetings Scheduled to Examine Public Safety in Alaska

Anchorage – The Finance Committee in the Alaska House of Representatives has scheduled a series of budget subcommittee meetings to discuss the nexus between crime rates and available public resources in Alaska.
