Rep. Guttenberg’s November 21st Newsletter: Let’s Do Something About Our Internet Problems!

I’ve heard from many of you that you’re unable to get sufficient internet access. In response to language I put in last year’s budget, the Regulatory Commission of Alaska is holding a special public meeting to solicit public input on the state of broadband in Alaska. Please take a moment to call in tomorrow morning at 9:00am or email the RCA with your comments.

Claman's Alaska Matters

Rep. Claman’s November 9th Newsletter: Recognizing Our Veterans & House Passes Senate Bill 54

Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the signing of the armistice between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918, marking the end of World War I. Congress passed a resolution in 1926 for an annual observance, and Nov. 11 became a national holiday beginning in 1938. In 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed legislation to change the name to Veterans Day to honor those who served in all American wars.
