NEWS: Rep. Guttenberg Family Honor Highlights Sacrifices Made By Law Enforcement Officers and Their Families

Fairbanks – Representative David Guttenberg (D-Fairbanks) will attend a special ceremony in New York City this week to honor his late uncle, a decorated police officer who gave his life in the line of duty. Officer David Guttenberg was shot and killed during a robbery on December 28th, 1978. On Saturday, a street in New York City will be officially renamed in honor of Officer Guttenberg.

NEWS: Members of Coalition Leadership are Coming to Fairbanks for a Townhall

Fairbanks – The Speaker of the Alaska House of Representatives will join Rep. Adam Wool (D-Fairbanks) for a legislative townhall in Fairbanks on Sunday, October 8th. The townhall will also include Majority Whip Rep. Louise Stutes (R-Kodiak) and House Resources Committee Co-Chair Rep. Andy Josephson (D-Anchorage).

It is time to get out and vote! The Alaska State Council on the Arts have opened public voting for Alaska’s Artistic License Plate. The options are the top five out of hundreds of submissions and are all designed by fellow Alaskans. All ages can vote but you must be a resident of Alaska.
