My Fairbanks office will be closed on Monday, December 24 through January 1 for the holidays. We will be checking emails and voicemails, but may be delayed in our response. From January 2 to January 6, the office will be in transition to Juneau. The office will open for business in the State Capitol in Juneau on Monday, January 7. Over the summer, I heard more stories of car and mail thefts, house squatters, drug activity, firearm discharges, car and house break-ins and other disturbing behavior in Fairbanks neighborhoods. The Fairbanks Police Department and Alaska State Troopers are working hard day and night to keep our community safe. Anchorage – Legislation to extend a successful tax credit program was signed into law today during a ceremony on the University of Alaska Anchorage campus. House Bill 233, sponsored by Representative Chris Tuck (D-Anchorage), passed the Alaska Legislature earlier this year with near unanimous support. The bill extends the Alaska Education Tax Credit Program through 2024 and adjusts the rate at which the credits are earned.Read more

Join me this weekend at the 2018 Golden Days festival and experience all the summer fun Fairbanks has to offer! Starting on Saturday, bring your family and friends to the Grand Parade starting at the Carlson Center, down the traditional route to Gaffney/Airport. Then head over to the Street Fair at Golden Heart Plaza. And of course, the annual Rubber Ducky Race will start at 3pm. I hope to see you in the heart of the district!
