Rep. Tuck’s Community Connection: Speak Up in Favor of a Responsible Budget

As we stare down some huge budget decisions, it’s important that we know and understand what the people of Alaska want. The House Finance Committee is holding a series of public meetings this weekend across Alaska to get input about the state budget. It’s important to take the time to speak up for a responsible state budget that funds the education of our children, protects the jobs of our fellow Alaskans, and ends the recession that has been dragging down our economy.

Rep. Adam Wool’s update from Juneau – See you this Sunday!

This weekend, the House Finance Committee will be visiting communities around the state to give constituents the opportunity to watch a short presentation on Alaska’s fiscal situation and to share their thoughts on the budget. Although I am not on the finance committee, I will be in attendance to hear from everyone in attendance, and I’d love to hear from you.

See you tomorrow!

If you are in Ketchikan, please join me tomorrow at the Ted Ferry Civic Center from noon until 3:00pm. Together with the City and Borough of Ketchikan, I will be listening to public input on the Alaska state budget.
